The Ibermoss meeting was proposed by Prof. Fernando Plazaola to create bridges for communication among different Mössbauer research groups in the Iberian Peninsula. This relationship between groups could be beneficial for exchanging ideas and assisting each other in solving problems in the labs. As a results from these meetings, Wiki page of the Mössbauer Community in the Iberian Peninsula was created driven by Dr. Pere Bruna.
The first meeting was held in 2019 in Bilbao, Spain, and successed to introduce the Iberian Mössbauer community. After the Covid pandemic, the second meeting took place in Coimbra, Portugal, in 2022. The third meeting will return to Spain, to the city of Sevilla, and is scheduled to take place in the spring of 2024 from May 20 to 21.
In this edition, open conferences will be held, with the goal of introducing the Mössbauer technique to novel researchers who are starting their research in the Materials Science area. Master and PhD students from different groups are very welcome to present their work in IBERMOSS 2024.
